New York Daily News: Ex-laundry worker dishes dirt on industry’s unsanitary methods to City Council

The City Council is debating a bill that would regulate the industrial laundry industry.
He cleaned linens for the city’s top hotels, but on Thursday he aired the industry’s dirty laundry in stomach-churning testimony in front of the City Council. Miguel Figueroa, a former industrial laundry worker, told the Council his bosses recycled dirty sheets, ignored safety rules and frequently used the same containers for clean and dirty linens.
